June 6 at 7 pm, GHCA meeting and webinar:
The Hydroplate Theory of the Genesis Flood
Part 1 of 3 on Flood Theories
One of the most interesting and challenging issues for creationists is to explain just how anything like the worldwide flood of Genesis could actually happen or be physically possible. Yes, one can just assert that God can do anything He chooses through His supernatural creative power. However, one must also recognize that it is apparent that He did not wipe out or upset the rest of the universe. After the Flood He desired to have, an Earth environment that would enable repopulation by the people, animals, plants, insects etc. that He sustained on the Ark. There have been three theories that have gained substantial support at some time by scientists in the YEC community. These include the Hydroplate Theory (HPT), the Catastrophic Plate Tectonics (CPT) Theory, and the Canopy Theory.
Part one of the series on June 6 will present the Hydroplate Theory by an advocate of that theory, Mr. Brian Lauer. Lauer has long given presentations on creation and freedom topics across the USA at churches, schools, colleges, conferences, and clubs. In September 2023, he emceed the world’s first online Hydroplate Conference that highlighted three speakers with Ph.D.’s, including a Professor of Astronautics from the US Air Force Academy. Last year, Brian spoke more than forty times.
