5To Him who by
wisdom made the heavens,
For His mercy endures
forever;
6To Him who laid
out the earth above the
waters, For His mercy
endures forever; 7To
Him who made great
lights, For His mercy
endures forever-
8The sun to rule
by day, For His mercy
endures forever;
9The moon and
stars to rule by night,
For His mercy endures
forever.

Dear friends of the
GHCA,
July 29th is our
next meeting date.
Please note that
this is a week later
than you might
expect. So, take a
look at your
calendar and mark
the date.
We will start our
annual summer Great
DVD series where we
take time to present
and discuss some of
the excellent
creation science
DVDs that have
become available. We
will include DVDs
about astronomy,
geology, biology and
evolution. This
series gives our
members a chance to
see the best before
they go out and buy
some. But even more
a good DVD is a
great communication
tool. It really is
very easy to loan it
to a friend at
church telling them
how impressed you
were and ask them to
take a look and tell
you what they think.
That gives them some
new knowledge,
starts a
conversation, and
opens the door for
another topic and
DVD. Give it a try;
it is a great way to
start your own
ministry in creation
science!
On July 29th we will
start with a DVD
entitled Our Created
Solar System by
Spike Psarris. Spike
worked as an
engineer in the
military space
Saturn and
Cassini Probe
Schematic
 |
program where he was
immersed in a lot of
information related
to the solar system
that many do not get
to see. He started
out as an
evolutionist and an
atheist but by the
time he left the
program he had
become a Christian
and a creationist.
Of course that
process leads to
many questions like
the age of the solar
system, is it 4.6
billion of years old
like the
evolutionary view
says, or is it just
thousands like
Genesis says?
Searching for
answers in the
science he knows
best Spike found a
lot of information
we are not usually
told because it does
not support
evolution; instead
it often supports
special creation.
Our Created Solar
System is the first
in a series Spike
will produce
entitled What You
Aren't Being Told
About Astronomy. It
is full of
spectacular images

from the space
programs and it is
worth seeing for the
images alone. But as
you ogle at the
images, you will be
blown away by the
information that the
evolutionist usually
keep hidden so they
will not have to
deal with the hard
questions they can't
answer. Come join us
on this exciting
creation science
adventure of
discovery and
learning. You will
be impressed!

Come join us and
bring some friends
young and old who
like astronomy.
Forward this
newsletter to some
friends and mention
our website
www.ghcaonline.com.
There will be
refreshments,
fellowship and
creation science
materials as well
for all to enjoy.
Praising Him,
Frank Mayo
PS. I am
reminded that Dr.
Don Patton is still
considerably short
of funds for his
July 19th trip to
explore evidence on
Mt. Ararat. Please
pray that sufficient
donors will be
provided. If any of
you would like to
donate, make your
check out to MIOS
and mail it to Don
Patton, P.O. Box
1045, Port Neches,
TX 77651.

Around Houston, Texas &
the Nation
Let us know of
events you deem
newsworthy. Email
here.
Russia:
Creation Safaris
reports that New
Scientist is
reporting that
"...creationism has
now reared its ugly
and evolving head in
Russia, the heart of
the 'Godless
communism' that
prevailed in the
Soviet Union...".
As usual, an
interesting analysis
follows. Read more
fun reporting and
commentary
here.
Texas (Statewide):
Though slightly off
topic for this
newsletter, please
note that the
conservative seven
Christians on the
Texas State Board of
Education scored
another tremendous
victory for Truth in
the way History and
social studies are
to be taught. The
new standards,
subject of intense
debate and much work
over the past year
or more, passed late
Friday afternoon.
There will be
hundreds of trees
die and barrels of
ink used to try and
deny what seven
courageous
Christians on the
Board were able to
accomplish, raising
the Truth about
history and
America's founding
fathers and
documents from the
ash heap of the
distortions of
political
correctness. Our
friends at TBSE
wrote earlier that
Texas has become
"the big house" on
top of "the shining
city on the hill"
that serves as a
beacon of freedom to
the rest of the
world. The light in
that big house just
got much brighter.
Thanks are in order
to the Texas State
Board of Education.
They can be written
and thanked
en mass at
sboesupport@tea.state.tx.us.

newsletter may be

Important:
The "Splicing Code"--
Could this be the
scientific
breakthrough of the
decade or more?
In a long
anticipated
development,
researchers have
confirmed and
partially unraveled
what is being called
The Splicing Code.
Briefly, there are
not enough genes in
the Human Genome
(and others) to
account for the
enormous variety of
proteins found in
humans. This has
been known since the
draft release of the
Human Genome
project. The late
arch-evolutionist
and Marxist Stephen
J. Gould of Harvard
described the
implications of this
as the "utter
failure" of
materialism to
account for life on
earth. More was
needed. Much more.
Much more
information than is
locked in the
amazing DNA double
helix. Now the
source of much of
that information is
being probed and
reported on. In
stunningly complex
arrangements, the
use of information
contained in the DNA
is regulated by yet
another set of
information. Think
of it as a code
within a code. The
best write-up we've
yet seen on this is
by our friends at
Creation Safaris, (www.creationsafaris.com).
Their article on the
Splicing Code is
located at: http://creationsafaris.com/crev201005.htm#20100506a.
The
Science Daily
article (generally
has an evolutionist
slant) is located
at: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/05/100505133252.htm.
For those of you
with access to the
science journal
Nature, the
source article is in
the May 6, 2010
issue.
Houston:
KSET Radio
(Beaumont/Houston
1300 AM):

Saturday morning. It
is broadcast at 1300
AM by KSET near
Beaumont. Those in
the Houston area can
listen on the

San Antonio:
The San Antonio
Bible Based Science
Association (SABBSA)
usually meets the
second Tuesday of
each month, 7:00
p.m., at Jim's
Restaurant
located on the
corner of Ramsey and
San Pedro,
approximately 1 mile
outside Loop 410
across from Hovey's
Motor Cars. More

Dallas-Ft Worth:
The Metroplex
Institute of Origin
Science (MIOS) meets
at the Dr. Pepper
Starcenter, 12700 N.
Stemmons Fwy,
Farmers Branch, TX,
usually at 7:30 pm
of the first Tuesday
of each month.
Lubbock Area
(Crosbyton):
All year: Consider a
visit to the Mt.
Blanco Fossil
Museum, directed by
Joe Taylor. The
Museum is definitely
worth the visit if
you live near or are
traveling through
the Panhandle near
Lubbock. If you call
ahead and time
permitting, Joe has
been known to give
personal tours,
especially to
groups. For more
